June 10, 2008 - Abita Brewing Company honored by LED and Governor St Tammany parish company honored with Latern Award at Governor's Mansion for excellence in economic development by Louisiana Economic Development.  May 9, 2008 - Bevlo Gas and Electric Lights expands to the North Shore Company founded in New Orleans' French Quarter establishes a new manufacturing facility in St Tammany parish.  April 11, 2008 - Business Expo provides forum for enterprises to launch new products: DQSI unveils Small Business Express St Tammany Chamber's Business Expo serves constiuents with forums and platforms. March 29, 2007 - Rooms To Go to Build Distribution Facility and Outlet in St Tammany Parish St Tammany Parish Development District provides preliminary approval for a $50 million GO Zone bond that will allow Rooms To Go to build an 850,000 sq. ft. distribution center and outlet store in Pearl River.  March 15, 2007 - St Tammany Parish Businesses Taking Advantage of GO Zone Bonds St Tammany Economic Development Foundation (STEDF) announced today the St. Tammany Parish Development District (District) has issued $97,500,000 in bonds over the last 14 months. These bonds represent the retention of 470 existing jobs and the creation of more than 325 new jobs. January 18 , 2007 - Business Indicators Continue to Show St Tammany Leading Post-Katrina Revitalization Statistics released for the third quarter of 2006 show that St Tammany continues to grow its economic base. More than $72 million in new and expanded projects were announced for the first 8 ½ months of 2006. These projects will bring an estimated 2,824 permanent jobs and 1,975 construction jobs to St Tammany. New commercial building activity shows that many of these projects are well underway.
